2018 – Founding & Core Purpose

VIDA (PT Indonesia Digital Identity) was founded in 2018 with a mission to build trusted digital identity infrastructure. As a licensed Indonesian Certificate Authority (CA), it enables identity verification, legally binding digital signatures, and passwordless authentication, anchored to national systems like Dukcapil and Singapore’s digital identity database.

2020 – Groundbreaking WebTrust Certification

In 2020, VIDA became the first Electronic Certificate Provider (PSrE) in Indonesia to obtain the WebTrust certification, marking a significant credential in digital trust services.

2023 – Global Recognition by NIST

On International Data Privacy Day (January 31, 2024), VIDA ranked #1 globally in the NIST Biometric Security Study. It achieved top scores for video impersonation (photo-replay attacks), excelled in liveness detection algorithms, and placed eighth globally in photo impersonation detection—demonstrating world-class biometric security

2024 – Launch of VIDA Identity Stack (VIS)

In September 2024, VIDA introduced its VIDA Identity Stack, a comprehensive fraud-prevention platform that addresses modern threats like deepfakes, social engineering, AI fraud, and account takeovers. It combines identity verification, document and face liveness checks, income verification, fraud scanning, deepfake detection and shielding, and authentication features like PhoneToken and FaceToken. VIDA guaranteed up to 99.9% fraud prevention, backed by successful client deployments.

2024 – iBeta Level 1 PAD Certification

In December 2024, VIDA earned the iBeta Level 1 Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) certification for its liveness detection technology. This certification meets ISO/IEC 30107-3 standards by validating resistance to basic spoofing attempts such as printed photos or video replays—adding another layer to its global trust credentials.

2024 – iBeta PAD Level 2 Certification

VIDA achieved iBeta Level 2 for Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) — setting the benchmark for fraud detection in Indonesia’s digital identity landscape. With this, VIDA ensures that biometric verification cannot be spoofed, securing millions of users against identity theft.
